Let me see if there is anything insightful I can say other than that shooting this commercial was just incredible fun with it containing high speed powder explosions, water, golden body paint, a swimming pool filled with golden water, and most importantly, a really great team.
Everything you see was done for real – no CG, just a lot of testing and trying different solutions. For the high speed shots of the model we had six 12K and a couple of 5Ks going, which allowed us to shoot just wide open.
